Moving Advisory
I'm actually thinking of moving to a new blog. No, actually I'm not thinking anymore, I've finally decided to make a new one. During Christmas vacation, I went through my old posts (it's a habit, just to see how much I and things around me have changed) and I found them boring. Well, I actually recollected some past experiences by reading them (at least my blog is doing its function as a memory storage device/backup for my bad memory) but the way they were written was really boring. Also, my tags have turned into a mess (you know, people change and the way I classify things also change over the years). Besides, I said that starting this year, I'll be making my posts more interesting so moving to a new blog makes sense for me.
Actually, I was a bit hesitant to move because this blog's archives goes way back September 2005 (although I started blogging March 2004, this is my second blog). That's more than five years of archives! Then again, going back to my main point, it's gotten boring. Haha. Besides, I'm not deleting this, I'm just moving. :)
I haven't created a new one yet but I'll try doing so this weekend... That is if I finish studying CE 22 (Engineering Economy, got an exam on Tuesday). It's been getting quite busy because I need to finish my thesis in two months so I've been doing my best (as always).

Pretty and Flowery Things
Because I got inspired by Miss Boredandcrafty's calendar (she's the person who sewed my Nodame bag and I've been following her blog ever since), I made this while I was on break from kitchen chores last New Year's Eve.

I got the sakura background from deviantArt and did the rest with Microsoft Publisher (since I always forget to borrow my classmate's Photoshop installer since I formatted my computer). Oh you can click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Airis and Wigi liked it so I'll be printing them a set. But first, I need to buy new ink!
And here's a dress I bought last summer but I didn't get to wear until New Year's Eve Mass. Well, I've always tried wearing it to school but I always end up changing before leaving the house because it's too dressy for school (well, in my home college, it's normal for people to wear pambahay clothes).

What's Happened and What's Gonna Happen
Since I'm pretty sure I'll be busy in the kitchen tomorrow, I'll be writing this now!
What has happened in 2010:
1. I've started exercising and improved my stamina.
2. I went to my first UP fair

3. Joined an ES Quiz contest in UPLB and won third place with Melvin, Kevin and Jules (and we only reviewed for a week haha)

4. Got certified as a diver (I need to find my license, I don't know where I placed it, that card is expensive demmet)
5. First heartbreak woohoo~ (and actually got spoiled by my family because of that haha)
6. First time not to enroll on a summer term!
8. Got driving lessons
10. Got my wisdom tooth extracted (ugh the pain)
11. I learned a piano piece (after years of not playing)
12. Joined Engg Cup for the first (and last) time!
13. I had the most stressful semester of my undergrad life (fifth year first sem, all my classmates will agree to this) that I even got insomnia.
15. Opened Pandora's box again even though it hasn't been a year since it got broken (Don't judge me, okay? I didn't plan this, I was planning the opposite. And there are reasons too. I just hope I did/am doing the right thing.) ^_^
16. I finally learned how to crochet!! I can remember trying very hard to learn back in high school but I couldn't get past the chain stitch. Well, something dawned on me and suddenly I can do single and double stitch now and I've made scarves too. Thanks to online tutorials haha.

17. It's my first time to go to the stage as I've always been a backstage person. This one really took me out of my comfort zones.
18. I put a loooong scratch and a little dent on my Dad's car the day after Christmas. :( And ffff, a lot of my neighbors witnessed my stupidity. And the said stupidity cost Php5,000.
What's gonna happen in 2011:
1. I will stop failing as a driver. I should not be traumatized. And besides, the Php5,000 repair bill won't be worth it if I don't learn.
2. I will get my hair red highlights.
3. I will do my best in acads and graduate on April.
4. I will do my best in the board exams and be an engineer by December.
5. I will enroll in AUTOCAD lessons.
6. I will be a good daughter and friend. And fine, sister, even if my brothers bully me most of the time.
7. I will make my blog entries more interesting by putting photos! Haha. Afterall, I write here to store my memories and photos are worth a thousand words, right?
Well, it has been a very stressful (not just acadwise but lovewise as well) but awesome year. Here's to making another good and eventful one! After all, I'll be graduating and taking the board exams this coming year. @___@ Let's do this!

Sakura
I want this on my back.
My niece's husband is a good tattoo artist. I also have a fairly high tolerance for pain. However, my parents will definitely kill me if I get this. But meh, I can get it when I'm independent already so my parents can't do anything anymore. But then if I get a tattoo, I won't be able to donate blood, right? If that's the case, then I guess I won't have it. I'll just make do with other things with sakura in them.
Mom gave me some pink wallpaper and come summer, I'll cut them into sakura petals and stick them up my bedroom walls made of wood. Some of my walls are made of masonry though and the paint has gone into bad shape (and said wallpaper won't stick on masonry) so I hope I can buy some pink and brown paint and do something like this

Holiday Report
Busy Christmas was busy! It's either I'm out of the house or I'm in the kitchen. I baked so much bars, cakes and cookies, I've actually ran out of baking powder! Aside from my usual date/walnut bars and Oreo chocolate cake, I also baked new things like butter tart squares, cupcakes and apple streusel cake. I also cooked pesto, meat sauce and tempura for noche buena. But cooking and baking aside, I also gained ~2kg over Christmas. :))
And sadly, I still don't have gifts for my mom and my younger brother. I already know what to give them, just that I wasn't able to buy them. I should go to the mall before the year ends (also to buy new Grendha flats!)
I also planned to catch up with Naruto, Skip Beat and Kimi ni Todoke this Christmas break but I don't think I can do that anymore. I still need to do my PI 100 homework, a reaction paper for Fili, a paper for L Arch 1 and my thesis. *sigh* :( I also need to bake some cookies and bars and cook for media noche. Ugh busy holidays.

Miss Independent
There's this quote I saw in Tumblr long ago that hit me so hard: "We try hard to prove how independent we are. But really, sometimes we just want someone who's brave enough to take care of us every once in a while."
I like taking care of people and sometimes even spoiling them but I don't really get taken care of or spoiled as much (sometimes because I refuse to hahaha). Although I do have friends who look out for and take care of me. ^_^
I've always been trying to prove that I'm Miss Independent. I really don't like it when I'm being a hassle or a burden to others. Then again, no one can be really independent. One way or another, we need to and we should depend on others. I may try hard at being independent but I don't think I can be totally independent. There are a lot of times when I need others (and I mean A LOT).
Recently, I thought I should stop trying so hard to be independent. Maybe I should get spoiled once in a while. I mean, I do spoil others too so I guess it's okay to let myself get spoiled sometimes. After all, it feels nice being taken care of once in a while. This doesn't mean I'll start being needy and all. Only that I'll stop trying too hard at being independent. :D
